SEP 14 & 15, 2019
Intensive & Technical Hands-on Learning.
In this intensive workshop, 16 students immersed themselves in an inclusive environment filled with interactive, hands-on experience and learning from Quynh and Jessie. During the two days, the students engaged in an in-depth exploration of unique ways to make centres for different flower, various uses of different wire gauges, numerous ways to create unique colouring in paper flowers, and manipulation techniques to shape the crepe paper into specific structural forms. Students left the workshop with 5 finished flowers: an Open Rose, Poppy, Peony, Butterfly Ranunculus, and Hybrid Tea Rose. Students were invited to attend a Meet & Greet on the Friday before the weekend workshop to dine with us at a local restaurant and visit The Paper Place as a group.
A BIG thank you to our sponsors who provided their amazing products for this workshop: Our crepe paper were provided by Carte Fini and The Paper Place; our colour sprays by Design Master, and our pastels by Pan Pastel.

Students made an Open Rose, Poppy, Peony, Butterfly Ranunculus, and Hybrid Tea Rose, and saw a demonstration of how to make a Berry Branch.
We took a photo just as we were cleaning up the studio at the end of Day 2. Unfortunately not everyone is in this photo, but you guys were here in spirit!
Present in spirit: Sharon Michitsch, Priscilla Chu, Johanni Marte, Kerri Wong, Holly-Ann Dionisi, Mike Benson, Jodi Duncan
Our AMAZING sponsors believed in us, believed in our mission, and believed in our community of paper florists. We cannot thank them enough for their contribution, time, and enthusiasm. Both Carte Fini and Design Master demonstrated their products and taught us how to better utilize them.
